Duncan Ingram, Senior Independent Director

Duncan Ingram spent a significant part of his career at BT . His last three roles were Managing Director of BT’s broadband services radically improving service quality, taking it from loss to profit and making it the No 1 provider to both consumers and SMEs in market share and service reliability. He was also Managing Director of Customer Service (including the 999 service), turning the unit’s performance round while reducing costs significantly. His final role was Group Director responsible for London and BT’s London 2012 Olympic programme – every sports report, broadcast, photograph as well as the logistics and administration of the Games across the UK depended on a bespoke BT network. He Chaired the Group-wide Board responsible for delivering the company’s 2012 obligations and the commercial exploitation of the company's involvement. Duncan was also a member of the British Olympic Association’s Advisory Board.

He has been a Non-Executive Director of South West Water (sitting on its Audit and Sustainability Committees), the Tullis Russell Group (sitting on its Audit Committee and Chairing the Remuneration Committee), the British Quality Foundation, London First (Chairing its Economic Panel and sitting on the Nominations Committee), a member of Ofcom's Advisory Committee for England as well as a number of BT’s European subsidiaries.

Duncan is currently a Non-Executive Director of Laurence King Publishing, of Paym (Mobile Payment Services Co Ltd) and of the Hyde Group, a major housing organisation with c50,000 homes, building c1,500 pa and assets of 1.9bn (Chairing it’s Housing Services Board which provides oversight of the Group’s housing service and most of it's regulatory obligations). He is Chair of The Children’s Trust, the UK’s largest paediatric brain injury rehabilitation provider and Vice Chair of YMCA England & Wales (and Chair of its Income Generation & marketing Committee).
